The Scoop on Black Cocoa
You’re not imagining it: things are getting dark. And by “things”, we mean your cakes, cookies, frostings, and whatever other confectionary creations you want to darken to your heart’s desires. Because Modern Mountain Black Cocoa always delivers on its promise to deepen rich chocolatey tastes and color your bakes just as easily as it intensifies their flavor.
But don’t be afraid of the dark! Best used in tandem with other Dutch-process cocoas, substitute black cocoa 1:1 for other cocoas in your recipe. But a word of caution for all of our fellow cocoa-nauts out there: start by substituting sparingly—this is our darkest, deepest, most decadent cocoa yet.
